Due to the 25th anniversary of the film, several media site have been publishing lists of little known fact about the movie. Head to the bottom of this post for some external links I’ve assembled. Be warned though – a few these are those annoying slideshow “news” posts with tons of clickbait ads. The best of these that have seen is from the website Decider. They do a top 10 little known facts for a lot of movies – here’s a repost of their Edward edition:

1.) Edward says less than 200 words in the film.
2.) This was Vincent Price’s last on-screen appearance.
3.) Robert Downey Jr. was considered for the role.
4.) That iconic costume was deadly, and not in the way you’re thinking.
5.) The idea for the movie was inspired by something Burton used to draw as a teenager.
6.) The iconic scissorhands share a connection with the ‘Terminator’ movies and ‘Jurassic Park.’
7.) There’s a boy band cameo you missed.
8.) Ever wonder why the neighborhood looks so strange? The story is told through Edward’s eyes.
9.) Everyone in the movie is based off someone in real like … sort of.
10.) The shrubbery wasn’t real, but the dog haircuts were.
